Welcome to the official Jamie Varner website. I designed this site to connect with my fans and keep you up to date on everything Jamie Varner. 

I am the current WEC World Light Weight Champion. The WEC is the home of some of the best lightweight fighters in the world. It is owned by the UFC and it gives fight fans free MMA on the Versus Channel. Guys like Uriah Faber, Jens Pulver, and Carlos Condit are some of the great competitors that make up the World Extreme Cagefighting organization. 

MMA is something I have spent my whole life preparing for. As far back as I can remember I have been boxing, wrestling or doing a combination of both. In college I was a D-1 Wrestler and a D-1 Boxer for Lockhaven University. I love to compete and the only thing that would be better then the WEC Championship belt is TWO of them! I made my debut at UFC 62 losing a close fight to the #1 contender Hermes Franca, but I then went on to beat Jason Gilliam at UFC 68. I then made my move to the WEC. 

I train full time out of Arizona Combat Sports with trainers Todd and Trevor Lally. My team is made up of TUF stars Jesse Forbes and CB Dollaway, WEC fighters Jesse Moreng and Steve Steinbeiss, IFL Veteran Ray Steinbeiss, up-and-coming star Ryan "Darth" Bader, and so many more young and talented fighters. My sponsors, teammates, trainers, and management have all helped me achieve my dream of fighting for The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and for that I am grateful.
